Accessibility statement

Last reviewed: NEEDS_INPUT: date the accessibility statement was reviewed

We want this website to work for as many people as possible. This statement explains where we’re at, what we know isn’t perfect, and how to get hold of us if you’re having trouble.

Our commitment

Aylsham Older Peoples Association wants this website to be usable by as many people as possible, whatever their ability or the technology they use. We build towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.

We have not yet had the site formally audited against that standard, so we are not claiming to meet it in full. If something on this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, please tell us: that is the fastest way for it to get fixed, and we would rather hear about it than not.

What we build for

  • Clear, plain English in all copy
  • Form fields with visible labels, not just placeholder text
  • Visible focus rings on links, buttons, and form fields
  • Respect for “reduce motion” preferences
  • Text that stays readable when you zoom in
  • Descriptions on images that carry meaning

Known issues

We’re honest about the places this site isn’t yet perfect. We’re working through these.

  • PDF documents linked from this site, including our annual report, may not be fully screen-reader-friendly.
  • Some embedded third-party content (Stripe payment forms, Google Maps) may have accessibility limitations outside our control.
